Well I just finished writing an essay and taking a quiz ... Senioritis at its best! This week we had our grammar evaluation due, which I got a 96 on! The first day of class this week, Monday, we went over whatever questions we had about the evaluation - this took all of class but it was very beneficial. We were able to review things that we didn't understand. Grammar is almost like a math problem that you can't solve because you don't remember all of the formulas.
For our homework, we reviewed preterite which I have down pretty well. I used to have the hardest time with fui and fue because I couldn't remember which was yo form. When in Spain, they use vosotros which I understand how to conjugate in present tense, but I still don't completely remember how to conjugate in preterite. I remember it's all -eis, but I can rarely actually remember which letter gets the accent, the e or the i. Although I know my conjugation of imperfect and preterite, I sometime have to review when to use them both. For number 3 in the lesson where we chose between the two, I don't understand why sentir is put in preterite rather than imperfect. I thought a feeling was on going, therefore I thought it would've been imperfect.
For the following exercise, I did not understand why poder was inmperfect for some and not for others, same goes for saber. For the first two sentences with poder, it says the same thing poder+ver, yet they are both in different tenses. _________________________________________________________________________________

Con todo de mis vacaciones y viajes a países diferentes, una cosa que me extraño es la comida! Me encanta probar la comida. Aunque cuando estaba creciendo, era una quisquillosa, cuando estoy en un lugar diferente, pienso que es normal de probar cosas. Desde mis viajes, yo aprendí mucho sobre mis sabores favoritos. Por ejemplo, no me gusta comida del mar, como mariscos y más. Ahora me gustan mejillones. Aquí hay pinturas diferentes de la comida que yo probé en el pasado en Costa Rica.
