Week 4

This past week we had off on Monday so we only had class once.  Our class this week was much more conversational since we sat in a circle and talked about slang and plays by Joaquín Dicenta.  Juan José sounds like it should be an interesting story with a lot of the components from the pop culture themes - a boss and an employee, an obsession over a girl, and a middle class man as the main character.












The homework for this week was a review from the past 4 weeks of classes.  In repaso dos, I was curious to why number two refers to "your hand" as "la mano" rather than "tu mano."  I think I remember that any part of the body doesn't have to have a "tu, su, mi, etc."

For repaso tres, I still don't feel too comfortable with my negatives.  I thought that I did until taking this class and going over them two weeks ago.  I have always used ningún and the other forms, ninguno and ninguna, as my go-tos for the majority of the time that I am using negatives in a sentence.  In this first exercise, number 4 confused me because of the que in "tengo que estudiar."  If someone were to say this to me, of course I would understand them, but if I were going to tell someone that I had to study, I would just say "tengo estudiar" or "necesito estudiar."  Number 5 was complicated as well.  In the first part of the question, if I ever say a gerund, I automatically thing of "iendo" or "ando" because it's being done at that exact moment, yet in this answer, they use "pide" instead of está pidiendo."

Repaso cuatro was much easier than the other reviews just because making things plural is much easier, the two words that confuse me have been "bastante" and "demasiado" because they are rarely plural.

Cuando estaba leyendo un link de Doctora McGrath en Facebook, me recordaba de una lección de clase sobre los plurales.  Me gusta número once porque estamos aprendiendo las diferencias plurales, pero no sabíamos que difícil los plurales son para las personas quien están aprendiendo ingles.  Es muy complicado que hay tantas diferencias traslados de palabras plurales son distintas.

Me encanta este pin en pinterest porque yo he comprado estas pulseras y me encantan.  Cuando compres una, un trabajo va a una persona quien lo necesita.  Hay pulseras para muchísimas diferentes caridades como animales del mar y el ejército.

Me gusta este pin de pinterest también porque yo fui a tres de las 12 lugares más bellezas en Costa Rica - el volcano de Arenal, Moneverde, y Playa Hermosa.  Me encanta Costa Rica en total porque la naturaleza y las personas y todo.

En Twitter, yo encontré un tweet de Doctora McGrath que explica un trend nuevo sobre falsas bodas.  Es muy rara porque es cuando una persona tiene un actor por novio o novia y sus invitados pagan para entrar porque hay comida, música, y personas, como una boda o fiesta real.  Si una persona lo hace algo como esto, todo el mundo va pensar en la persona como tenía un problema mental.


Finalmente, otro pin que me gusta es esto de tacos de pollo.  Yo cociné una variación de estos taco.  En el año pasado, yo encontré como cocinar.  Cuando cociné el pollo, yo puse lima, cilantro, pimiento, sal y también una especia de Italia que yo traje de Italia este verano pasado.  Cuando estaba en México, me encanta los tacos del pastor porque el sabor.  También me gusta los alambres que no son muy famosos pero riquísimos.
